HS Science Teacher
Rhonda Dodson
Mrs. Dodson is a proud Spartanburg native whose passion for teaching was shaped by many of her own inspiring educators. She graduated from Dorman High School before earning a degree in Secondary Education–Biology from USC Upstate. She later completed a Master’s in Natural Science from Converse University and earned the South Carolina Master Naturalist certification through Clemson University. She also holds National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Science. Recognized for her commitment to education, Mrs. Dodson has twice been named Teacher of the Year and was honored as District Teacher of the Year in a local Spartanburg district. After decades of service in one of the area’s largest school districts, she was drawn to the unique opportunities and close-knit environment offered at HPA and proudly joined the family in 2024. Outside the classroom, she enjoys cultivating a new iris collection and has fostered over a dozen rescue dogs, helping them transition from shelters to loving forever homes. In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband and their beloved canine companion, Sadie.
