If the number of applications does not exceed the available slots, a lottery is not required.<\/p><p>Open enrollment to apply for the lottery is from December 1 through March 13. The HPA lottery will be held on March 25 of every school year. If this day falls on a weekend, the lottery will occur on the first school day following the weekend. After the lottery, students will receive a notification by email or letter within six days regarding their application status. The remaining students will be placed on the waiting list according to the order they were drawn. A student who turns in a late application will be placed on the waiting list in the order of the date on which their application was received. Additionally, siblings of students accepted through the lottery process are afforded priority enrollment status. However, priority enrollment status does not guarantee a student's admission to HPA, as acceptance remains based on space availability in each applicable grade.<\/div><div>Waiting lists do not carry over from year to year and are only valid for the school year for which the student has applied. Therefore, if a student is not accepted for the current school year and remains on the waiting list, a new application must be submitted to reapply for the lottery the following school year.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Thank you for your interest in High Point Academy!
